About the Opportunity
We’re partnering with a highly regarded financial services firm to hire an HR Data Coordinator to join their team in NYC. This role provides the opportunity to support a significant data project in a detail-oriented environment, working cross-functionally with international teams on impactful initiatives.
The Role
This position is within a people-centric team supporting large-scale data curation and mapping projects. You will play a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of employee data while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders. Note: This role is focused on data operations and accuracy; Mandarin or Cantonese skills are used occasionally, primarily for handling Chinese names or communicating with Hong Kong-based teams.
Global Collaboration 🤝
- Partner regularly with colleagues in Hong Kong on shared workflows and data initiatives
- Engage in cross-time-zone communication (mainly early mornings, no overnight work)
- Maintain flexibility for occasional off-hours calls, while working within a standard U.S. schedule
- Laptop provided to support communication outside of the office as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Support ongoing HR data mapping and curation projects
- Input, organize, and maintain employee data across multiple systems
- Identify and resolve duplicate or inconsistent data entries
- Assist with data validation and quality checks
- Work with Chinese-language data, such as standardizing names into English formats
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure data accuracy
- Contribute to process improvements and initiatives to maintain data integrity
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese (especially written) and comfortable using it professionally
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Discretion and maturity in handling sensitive information
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work effectively across time zones with global teams
- Positive, proactive mindset with a desire to learn
Nice to Have
- Experience in HR, operations, or data management roles
- Familiarity with HR systems or data processes
- Previous work involving Chinese-language documents or data
