Position Details
- Reports to: CEO
- Classification: Exempt, Full-time
- Starting Range: $85,000 - $100,000
What You'll Do 🚀
As a People Ops Business Partner, you'll serve as a trusted HR advisor for your clients, ensuring compliance, enhancing employee experiences, and delivering customized support. Your responsibilities include:
- Employee Relations: Advising on policies, resolving conflicts, and supporting a positive work culture, including handling grievances and disciplinary issues
- Compliance & HR Guidance: Developing strategies to meet employment laws and regulations
- Training & Development: Facilitating engaging programs to promote employee engagement, policy awareness, and leadership growth
- Performance Management: Creating or refining evaluation systems, discussing KPIs, and advising on development plans
- Compensation & Benefits: Analyzing salary structures, benefits, and incentive programs to ensure competitiveness
- Organizational Development: Supporting restructuring, change management, and cultural improvements
- HR Policy & Strategy: Crafting and updating policies, handbooks, and procedures aligned with business objectives
- HR Technology & Systems: Recommending software tools for payroll, records, or analytics
- Employee Engagement: Conducting satisfaction surveys, analyzing results, and strategizing retention initiatives
- Client Collaboration: Coordinating with partners like insurance, payroll, and legal teams
- Language & Presentation: Translating HR documents and providing interpretation when necessary
- CRM Management: Maintaining accurate client data
- Service Promotion: Presenting and promoting additional People Rock HR services
- Travel: Occasional client site visits and quarterly trips to our Folsom, CA office
What We're Looking For 🔍
Required Qualifications 📋
- Fluent in Spanish and English (verbal and written)
- 5+ years of HR generalist experience with California labor law expertise
- Experience conducting California Sexual Harassment Prevention Training
- Strong client service orientation and HR consulting passion
- High accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent prioritization skills for multiple tasks and deadlines
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Adaptability in communication style based on the audience
- Ability to work independently in office and remote environments
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Suite, and CRM platforms
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications 🌟
- Certifications such as SPHR, PHRca, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP
- Experience working in multi-client or consulting HR roles
Position Details & Benefits 🎯
- Type: Full-Time | Exempt
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (flexible based on client needs)
- Location: Hybrid – remote, client sites, and shared office space
- Travel: Local travel required, quarterly trips to NorCal (Folsom), with occasional statewide air travel
- Physical Requirements: Regular laptop use, sitting, walking, with occasional light lifting
