Position Overview

Join our compassionate healthcare team as a Home Health Care Aide, where your kindness and commitment will positively impact our clients’ lives. You will provide personalized in-home care, encouraging independence, and ensuring safety and respect. This role involves working closely with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, fostering a warm and trusting environment.

Type: Part-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Location: On the road — providing care at various client locations 🚗

💼 Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility support
• Monitor & document: vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration within Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
• Support medication administration: following prescribed guidelines while ensuring patient privacy per HIPAA regulations
• Specialized care: Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, developmental disabilities, or other special needs
• Operate medical equipment: including Hoyer lifts and perform catheter care as needed
• Meal preparation & planning: to promote health and well-being
• Light housekeeping: cleaning, laundry, maintaining a safe environment at home
• Medical documentation: accurate record-keeping and updating care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals: using EMR/EHR systems for seamless communication
• Emotional support & companionship: enhancing clients' quality of life
• End-of-life care: providing hospice support with dignity and respect when needed

🎯 Qualifications

• Language proficiency: Hindi or Punjabi speaking aides preferred; Gujarati is also a bonus
• Experience: Proven background in home health, assisted living, or nursing homes
• Medical knowledge: Vital signs, catheter care, medication, CPR certification
• Experience with special needs: Dementia, Alzheimer’s, disabilities — preferred
• Technical skills: Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation
• Physical strength: Ability to lift patients safely using Hoyer lifts and stamina for long shifts
• Observation skills: Promptly identifying condition changes
• Communication skills: Compassionate, trust-building with clients from diverse backgrounds
• Independence & flexibility: Following detailed care plans with adaptability for live-in or varied schedules
• Regulations knowledge: HIPAA compliance and confidentiality
• Additional: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for community visits 🚗
