📝 Job Description
Note: This position requires bilingual proficiency in French, both spoken and written.
🛠️ Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with MI Project Management (PM) teams to deliver high-quality Synapse solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for HL7 implementation projects across Synapse product lines.
- Perform enterprise-level custom projects including:
- Data migrations
- Interface integration and data conversion
- Integration of Synapse MI with third-party healthcare systems (dictation, EMR, PACS, CVIS, RIS, HIS, VNA)
- Maintain rigorous internal communication using designated tools.
- Develop extensive documentation tailored to customer solutions, best practices, and internal processes.
- Learn and stay updated on new Synapse and third-party systems in Canadian Healthcare, including EMR workflows.
- Participate actively in SME programs, internal presentations, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Mentor colleagues, foster knowledge sharing, and work independently as the lead technical resource.
- Consistently deliver high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to company quality standards and regulatory compliance (FDA, ISO 13485, etc.).
🎓 Qualifications
- Technical professional with expertise in complex project design, implementation, and documentation.
- Strong understanding of clinical IT environments, especially radiology, cardiology, RIS, and VNA services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related fields; or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency with HL7 and DICOM standards, SQL/Oracle databases, and HL7 v2, FHIR, IHE profiles.
- 4-5 years of HL7 integration experience in hospital settings.
- Experience with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, Meditech, and more.
- Knowledge of Canadian Healthcare Data Interfacing and Diagnostic Imaging exchanges.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Lua, JavaScript, Python) and interface engines (e.g., Rhapsody, Mirth, Cloverleaf).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
- Strong analytical, leadership, decision-making, and project management skills.
- Physical ability to perform work demands and occasional travel up to 25%.
⚙️ Technical Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of hospital workflows, radiology, cardiology, and EMR systems.
- Experience with healthcare networks, high-performance computing, MS Windows, TCP/IP, and related technologies.
- Hands-on with interface engines like Iguana, Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, Cloverleaf.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
🧍 Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to sit most of the day, use hands and fingers, stand, talk, and hear.
- Lift and carry up to 10 pounds as needed.
- Occasional travel up to 25% based on business needs.
💼 Salary & Benefits
Salary ranges from $89,646.00 to $116,700.20 annually, plus a 10% bonus opportunity. Benefits include:
