Job Description
Note: Bilingualism in French is required for this role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the MI Project Management team to deliver high-quality Synapse solutions. 🚀
- Serve as the primary technical resource for HL7 implementation projects across Synapse product lines.
- Manage enterprise-level custom projects such as data migrations, interface integrations, and data conversions.
- Integrate Synapse MI products with third-party healthcare systems like EMR, PACS, RIS, HIS, and VNA. 🏥
- Follow internal communication protocols and utilize provided tools effectively.
- Develop extensive documentation, including customer-specific designs and best practices.
- Stay updated on new Synapse and third-party products (especially EMR systems in Canadian healthcare settings). 📚
- Participate in SME programs and internal project activities such as team presentations and cross-functional collaborations.
- Mentor peers and actively participate in knowledge transfer initiatives.
- Work independently, leading technical projects with high customer satisfaction standards.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, and standards requirements, including FDA and ISO 13485 compliance. ✅
Qualifications
- Technical professional with experience designing, implementing, and documenting complex projects, emphasizing radiology, cardiology, RIS, and VNA services. 🖥️
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience. 🎓
- Expertise in HL7 and DICOM standards and proficiency in databases (SQL, Oracle).
- 4-5 years of HL7 integration experience in hospital environments.
- Strong knowledge of HL7 v2, DICOM, FHIR, and IHE profiles, with familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, and Meditech.
- Experience with Canadian health records interfacing and diagnostic image exchanges.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Lua, JavaScript, Python) and interface engines (e.g., Rhapsody, Mirth). 💻
- Excellent communication skills in English and French; problem-solving and project management expertise.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and interact effectively in a matrix environment.
- Knowledge of network technologies and healthcare workflows, including radiology, cardiology, and EMR systems.
- Physical capacity to perform required tasks, including sitting, standing, lifting, and close vision.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 25%) as needed.
Salary & Benefits
Salary range: $89,646.00 - $116,700.20 (based on experience) plus a 10% bonus opportunity.
