Job Description

Language Requirement

BILINGUAL: Must speak and write fluent French.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the MI Project Management team to deliver high-quality Synapse solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for HL7 implementation projects across Synapse product lines.
  • Perform enterprise-level projects such as:
    • Data migrations
    • Interface integration and data conversion
    • Integrating Synapse MI with third-party healthcare systems (dictation, EMR, PACS, CVIS, RIS, HIS, VNA)
  • Follow internal communication protocols and maintain detailed documentation, including customer-specific designs and best practices.
  • Learn new Synapse and third-party products, actively participating in SME programs.
  • Engage in cross-functional activities like team presentations and internal project collaborations.
  • Mentor peers through training and knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Operate independently as the lead technical resource, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain compliance with quality, regulatory standards, and applicable laws (FDA, ISO 13485, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in designing, implementing, and documenting complex projects in a clinical environment, with emphasis on radiology, cardiology, RIS, Synchronicity, and VNA services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related fields; or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency with HL7 and DICOM standards, databases (SQL, Oracle), and HL7 v2, FHIR, IHE profiles.
  • 4-5 years’ HL7 integration experience in hospital settings.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and Canadian health record interfacing requirements.
  • Skilled in scripting languages (Lua, JavaScript, Python) and interface engine tools (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody).
  • Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and clinical systems.

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Sit for 75-100% of work hours; manual dexterity for keyboard use.
  • Stand, talk, hear for 75% of work time.
  • Lift up to 10 pounds, 20% of work time.
  • Close vision ability (20 inches or less).
  • Occasional travel (up to 25%) as needed.

Salary & Benefits

The role offers a competitive salary ranging from $89,646 to $116,700.20 (dependent on experience), plus a 10% bonus opportunity. Benefits include:
