Job Description
Note: Bilingual (French and English) required — must speak and write fluent French. 🗣️📝
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the MI Project Management team to deliver high-quality Synapse product solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for HL7 implementation projects across Synapse products.
- Lead enterprise-level projects such as:
- Data migrations
- Interface integration and data conversion
- Integration of Synapse MI with third-party healthcare systems (EMR, PACS, RIS, HIS, VNA, etc.)
- Adhere to internal communication guidelines, utilizing provided tools for project updates.
- Develop and maintain extensive documentation, including:
- Customer-specific solution designs
- Best practice protocols
- Continuously learn new Synapse and third-party (especially Canadian EMR systems) products and participate in SME programs.
- Engage in team meetings, internal projects, and knowledge sharing activities.
- Mentor and train peers, actively transferring knowledge and best practices.
- Work independently as the lead technical resource, ensuring high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with quality, regulatory, FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable standards.
Qualifications
- Technical professional with experience designing, implementing, and executing complex projects.
- Expertise in medical informatics, radiology, cardiology, RIS, Synchronicity, Pathology, and VNA.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 4–5 years of HL7 integration experience in hospital settings.
- Proficiency with HL7 v2, DICOM, FHIR, IHE profiles, and experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.).
- Familiarity with Canadian healthcare interoperability standards and imaging exchanges.
- Skills in scripting languages (Lua, JavaScript, Python) for data transformation.
- Hands-on experience with interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, project management, and organizational skills.
- Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, MS Windows environments, and healthcare IT workflows.
- Experience in a clinical or hospital environment required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Sitting, standing, typing, and visual acuity for most of the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
- Occasional travel (up to 25%) based on business needs.
Salary & Benefits 💼
Compensation ranges from $89,646.00 to $116,700.20 (depending on experience), plus a 10% bonus opportunity. Benefits include:
