Job Description

Note: Bilingual proficiency in French (speaking and writing) is required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the MI Project Management team to deliver high-quality Synapse solutions. 🤝
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for HL7 implementation projects across Synapse product lines.
  • Execute enterprise-level custom projects such as:
    • Data migrations
    • Interface integration and data conversion
    • Integration of Synapse MI with third-party healthcare systems (EMR, PACS, RIS, HIS, VNA, etc.)
  • Follow internal communication guidelines with proper documentation and deliverables. 📑
  • Create detailed customer-specific solution designs and best practice documentation.
  • Learn and stay updated on new Synapse and third-party products, especially EMR systems in Canadian healthcare settings. 📚
  • Participate in SME programs and internal team activities, including presentations and cross-functional projects.
  • Mentor and train peers in technical knowledge transfer.
  • Work independently as the lead technical resource for projects.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and compliance with quality and regulatory standards, including FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable laws. ✅

Qualifications

  • Technical professional with experience in designing, implementing, and documenting complex projects in healthcare IT.
  • Expertise in radiology, cardiology, RIS, Synchronicity, Pathology, and VNA services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field (or equivalent experience). 🎓
  • Deep knowledge of HL7, DICOM, FHIR, and IHE profiles.
  • 4-5 years’ experience in HL7 integration in hospital environments.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, Meditech, etc.
  • Experience with Canadian health provinces’ public health record interfacing and Diagnostic Imaging Repositories. 🏥
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Lua, JavaScript, Python, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience with interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody). 🔧
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, multitask effectively, and meet deadlines. ⏰
  • Knowledge of computer networks, Windows OS, TCP/IP, VMWare, and remote access tools.

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Ability to sit and use hands constantly, stand, talk, hear, and lift up to 10 lbs as needed.
  • Visual acuity for near vision tasks.
  • Occasional travel up to 25% depending on business needs.

Salary & Benefits 💼

Salary ranges from $89,646.00 to $116,700.20 (plus a 10% bonus opportunity). Benefits include:
