Job Description
Note: This position requires bilingual fluency in French and English.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the MI Project Management team to ensure delivery of high-quality Synapse solutions.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for HL7 implementation projects across Synapse product lines.
- Execute enterprise-level custom projects including data migrations, interface integrations, and data conversions.
- Integrate Synapse MI products with third-party healthcare information systems like EMRs, PACS, RIS, HIS, VNA, etc.
- Follow internal communication protocols using designated tools.
- Develop extensive documentation such as customer-specific solutions and best practice guidelines.
- Stay current with new Synapse and third-party products, participating in SME programs.
- Participate in team meetings, internal projects, and knowledge transfer activities, mentoring peers as needed.
- Operate independently as the lead project technical resource while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Ensure adherence to quality, regulatory, and compliance standards including FDA, ISO 13485, and others.
Qualifications
- Technical professional with experience designing, implementing, and documenting complex projects in healthcare IT environments.
- Expertise in radiology, cardiology, RIS, Synchronicity, Anatomic Pathology, and VNA services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related fields; extensive experience may substitute.
- Proficiency in HL7, DICOM, FHIR, IHE profiles, and familiarity with EMR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athena, Meditech, etc.
- Solid understanding of databases (SQL, Oracle), scripting languages (Lua, JavaScript, Python), and interface engines (e.g., Mirth Connect, Rhapsody).
- Experience working within Canadian healthcare provinces' data exchange requirements and imaging repositories.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Bilingual fluency (English and French) is highly preferred.
Physical & Travel Requirements
- Ability to sit for extended periods (75-100%) and manipulate devices with hands.
- Stand, talk, and hear for up to 75% of the workday.
- Lift up to 10 pounds occasionally (20%).
- Frequent near vision required.
- Occasional travel (up to 25%) as needed.
Salary & Benefits
Salary ranges from $89,646.00 to $116,700.20 depending on experience, plus a 10% bonus opportunity. Benefits include:
