Job Description

BILINGUAL REQUIREMENT 🇫🇷

Must speak and write fluent French.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with MI Project Management (PM) teams to deliver high-quality Synapse solutions.
  • Serve as the primary technical resource for HL7 implementation projects across Synapse product lines.
  • Develop and execute enterprise-level custom projects, including:
    • Data migrations
    • Interface integration and data conversion
    • Integrate Synapse MI with third-party healthcare systems like EMR, PACS, CVIS, RIS, HIS, VNA, and dictation systems
  • Follow internal communication protocols using provided tools.
  • Create extensive documentation, such as:
    • Customer-specific solution designs
    • Best practice guidelines
  • Learn new Synapse and third-party products, especially in Canadian Healthcare Imaging and hospital environments, and participate in SME programs.
  • Engage in non-project activities like team presentations and cross-functional collaborations.
  • Mentor and train peers, contributing to knowledge sharing.
  • Work independently as the lead technical resource for projects.
  • Consistently deliver high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Comply with company quality, regulatory, and healthcare standards, including FDA, ISO 13485, and other relevant regulations.

Qualifications

  • Technical expertise in designing, executing, and documenting complex healthcare IT projects, especially in radiology, cardiology, RIS, Synchronicity, and pathology.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 and DICOM standards.
  • Experience with databases (SQL, Oracle) and data validation.
  • 4-5 years of HL7 integration experience in hospital settings.
  • Proficiency in HL7 v2, DICOM, FHIR, and IHE profiles.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems like Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and others.
  • Experience with Canadian provincial health records and image exchange protocols.
  • Scripting skills (Lua, JavaScript, Python) for data transformation; programming knowledge preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with interface engines such as Rhapsody, Mirth Connect, Iguana, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Understanding of healthcare workflows, including radiology and cardiology systems.
  • Knowledge of networks, Windows OS, TCP/IP, MS Message Queuing, VMware, and remote access tools.
  • Ability to transfer knowledge through peer training and document processes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Fluency in both English and French is highly preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for 75-100% of work time.
  • Use of hands and fingers for keyboard and device manipulation.
  • Standing, talking, and hearing for 75% of work time.
  • Lifting up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Close vision capabilities for detailed work.

Travel Expectations

Occasional travel, up to 25%, may be required based on business needs.

  • Salary range: $89,646.00 - $116,700.20 (depending on experience) + 10% bonus opportunity
