We are seeking a skilled Hindi Language Translator to deliver essential translation services for individuals facing language barriers. The position involves translating documents and spoken communications across fields such as education, legal, medical, environmental, and social services. As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating effective communication in alignment with Cayuse's mission, vision, and values.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, real-time translations during spoken situations like lectures, conversations, and meetings.
• Utilize technology to transcribe spoken English in compatible settings.
• Read original documents and meticulously translate them into Hindi as required.
• Edit and refine translated documents for clarity and precision.
• Maintain cultural sensitivity throughout the translation process, respecting both source and target languages.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational needs.

🎓 Qualifications

Essential Requirements

• High School diploma or BA Degree, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in translation or interpretation in Hindi.
• Certification as a Translation Professional.
• ATA Certification is highly preferred.
• Additional translation certifications are a plus.
• Experience with organizations such as the State Department and agencies involved in refugee, health, legal, medical, and housing services.
• Fluency in Hindi is mandatory.
• Ability to successfully complete a background check; additional checks may be required.
• Demonstrated discretion and impartiality during translations.
• Strong proficiency in written communication and a broad knowledge base.
• Empathy and attentiveness in social awareness during interpretation.
• Cultural awareness pertaining to regional translations.
• Physical stamina and dexterity for extended sessions.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Adobe tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat).
• Motivated self-starter capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Ability to build strong individual and team relationships.
• Independent worker with collaborative spirit.

• Ability to work remotely in a professional environment.
• On-call availability with notifications within 48 hours of assignments.
• Capacity to work effectively over extended periods.
• Proficient in computer and office productivity tools.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including potential holidays.
• Willingness to travel for professional development or organizational needs.
• Availability for work outside regular hours if necessary.

📝 Reporting & Working Conditions

This position reports to the Deputy Program Manager.

Work environment is professional, remote, and flexible. Candidates must be prepared to create a productive workspace and sit for prolonged periods while using a computer.

💰 Compensation

Pay Range: USD $60.00 - USD $80.00 per hour
