Overview

We are looking for a skilled Hindi Language Translator who will bridge communication barriers for individuals and organizations. This role involves providing translation services across various domains, including education, legal, medical, environmental, and social services.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate translation for spoken scenarios such as lectures, conversations, and meetings.
• Utilize technology to transcribe spoken English when required.
• Translate original documents into Hindi and vice versa.
• Edit translated materials to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Be sensitive to cultural nuances in both source and target languages during translation.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to meet organizational needs.

🎓 Qualifications

• High School diploma, BA Degree, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of translation or interpretation experience in Hindi.
• Certified Translation Professional, preferably with ATA Certification or other relevant certifications.
• Experience working with State Department, refugees, FDA, Health & Human Services, Medical, Legal bodies, or Housing Authorities.
• Fluency in Hindi is essential.
• Must pass a background check and any other required security checks for specific projects.
• Ability to translate with discretion and impartiality.
• Strong proficiency in written communication.
• Broad knowledge across various topics.
• High social awareness and empathy during interpretation.
• Cultural awareness relevant to different regions.
• Physical stamina for extended work sessions.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Adobe tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Acrobat.
• Highly motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

🕒 Working Conditions

• Professional remote environment with on-call availability.
• Must be available for job notifications within 48 hours.
• Ability to work extended periods at a computer.
• Flexible work hours, which may include holidays and travel for professional development.
