Summary

JOB SUMMARY: Following established conventions and guidelines, codes and abstracts the medical records of the diverse population of ER records with facility E&M levels. Meets departmental accuracy and production standards.

REQUIREMENTS: Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. Health Information Management, Health Information Technology or any related field. Experience: 1-3 years.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: CCS, CCS-P, COC, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA required.
