Note: The position includes 0.8 FTE Spanish and 0.2 FTE French teaching assignments. Building administrators will contact candidates selected for interviews.

• Design and implement engaging, standards-based lessons in Spanish and French.
• Cultivate a supportive, inclusive classroom culture where all students feel safe, valued, and empowered.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum, align assessments, and support school-wide objectives.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor and guide student progress.
• Build strong, caring relationships with students to promote both academic and personal growth.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with endorsements in both Spanish and French.
• A deep commitment to student-centered teaching, inclusion, and equity.
• Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset.
• A passion for language education and fostering meaningful student relationships.

Preferred

• Experience working with high school students (ages 14–19).
• Experience teaching in a proficiency-based language classroom.
• Enthusiasm for contributing to a school culture where everyone feels at home.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will follow the teacher salary schedule, including:

• Base contract
• Additional contracts for LEAP days and responsibilities
• Technology stipend and professional fund
