The Senesh School, a welcoming K–8 Jewish day school in Brooklyn, is seeking a passionate Hebrew Teacher for the 2026–27 academic year, offering an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

About the Position

We are looking for a part-time or full-time Hebrew Teacher to join our team, grounded in the Proficiency Approach. Our Hebrew program energizes students through Israeli stories, authentic texts, songs, games, and celebrations. Instruction focuses on the four core skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while fostering meaningful, joyful Hebrew use. Language learning is seamlessly woven into daily life, making it immersive and engaging.

Responsibilities

• Develop a warm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment 🌈

Qualifications

• Native or fluent Hebrew speaker with strong pedagogical skills; Hebrew immersion experience preferred 🌍
• Master’s degree in education or related field (preferred) 🎓
• Specialized training and experience in second language acquisition 📖
• Experience teaching Hebrew using the Proficiency Approach and ACTFL guidelines 🌟
• Ability to effectively integrate technology to enhance language learning 💻
