The Position

We are seeking an experienced Hebrew teacher to:

  • Teach three sections of Hebrew, covering beginning and intermediate levels 📚
  • Share Israeli culture in the classroom and organize activities for Israeli special days 🇮🇱
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to support student learning 🤝
  • Support diverse learners and reflect on teaching practices regularly 🔍
  • Assist with tefillah and substitute for Advisory or other Hebrew classes

Start Date: Mid-August 2026
End Date: January 2027

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

This role may require dexterity with office equipment, such as computers, telephones, calculators, copiers, and printers. The position also involves stooping, bending, reaching, and sitting or standing for extended periods.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience teaching Hebrew at the high school level preferred
  • Familiarity with the Matakh Curriculum is a plus
  • Support in lesson planning and grading will be provided, but individual effort is essential
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is required
