Position Overview

These roles involve teaching 3rd-5th grade students on the following schedule:

• Sunday mornings from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM or 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM
• Sundays and either Wednesday or Thursday afternoons, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Candidate Profile

The organization is looking for teachers who have a genuine passion for Jewish education and the ability to inspire their students.

Qualifications

• Presence: A warm, kind, and enthusiastic demeanor with the ability to connect with children in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade.
• Curriculum Knowledge: Familiarity with a curriculum that covers Hebrew decoding, Tefillah, Torah study, Jewish holidays, values, and customs.
• Teaching Methods: Ability to engage children through stories, art projects, games, movement, and meaningful conversations.
• Experience: Previous experience in day camps or classrooms is advantageous. Fluency in Hebrew is a plus!

Session Structure

Each session is designed to be interactive and fun, including:

• A 10-minute snack break
• 20 minutes of music, facilitated by a music teacher
• A 20-minute Tefillah class once a week
• A teen assistant to support the teacher and classroom activities
