Anshe Emet Synagogue is a vibrant urban Conservative congregation with a collaborative staff and clergy. We serve a diverse, dynamic, and welcoming community of over 1,200 families. We are seeking passionate educators for our Hebrew School, The Joseph & Belle Braun Anshe Religious School, for the 2025-2026 school year.

Responsibilities 📝

• Maintain the welfare of all children in your class or during online meetings throughout school hours
• Create a warm and nurturing Jewish environment
• Plan lessons and develop activities aligned with the weekly curriculum for each class
• Communicate progress to parents as appropriate and as guided by the Director
• Report any incidents or important events during the school day to the Director by the end of each session

Schedule ⏰

We offer a competitive stipend. Teachers are expected to work on Sundays from 8:30am to 12:15pm. The school year continues until May 2026.

Qualifications 🎓

• A warm, positive attitude that uplifts all children
• Ability to effectively lead and manage a classroom of 10-25 students
• Immense patience for supporting students through learning challenges
• Confident communication skills for sharing student progress with the Director and parents
• Previous Jewish education experience is preferred but not required
