Overview

The Graphic Designer supports the New Business Development department by assisting with creative execution, preparation for production, and approval coordination of licensed promotional materials and visual assets. This role emphasizes brand compliance, licensor communication, and collaboration with Marketing and internal teams to meet launch deadlines and asset approvals.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and adept at managing multiple projects in a dynamic corporate setting.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

🎯 New Business Execution & Timeline Support

• Support the execution of multiple simultaneous new business initiatives
• Track project timelines, deliverables, and dependencies
• Follow up with internal teams, vendors, and licensors on tasks and deadlines
• Escalate delays, risks, or issues to management

🎨 Graphic Design & Creative Execution

• Identify and source promotional products aligning with brand image, campaign themes, licensing, and trends
• Evaluate product quality, pricing, and reliability before purchase
• Negotiate costs, terms, and delivery schedules to maximize profit and brand consistency

📝 Licensor & Approval Coordination

• Submit artwork for licensor review and approval
• Communicate revisions and compliance standards directly with licensors
• Implement and track requested changes for timely approval
• Maintain organized records of approval statuses and feedback
• Archive and distribute approved assets efficiently
• Ensure promotional items match themes, trends, and licensor standards, with a focus on anime and gaming properties

🕒 Timeline Management & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Align with Marketing on campaign launch dates and promotional calendars
• Coordinate with Operations, Logistics, Vendors, and Management to meet production timelines
• Proactively monitor milestones and escalate risks
• Support communication across departments for asset readiness and launch schedules
• Provide timely reports to stakeholders and licensors

🎥 Production & Vendor Support

• Prepare and share final production files with vendors and manufacturers
• Review proofs and samples for quality and compliance
• Assist vendors with artwork troubleshooting and technical adjustments
• Ensure files meet manufacturing specifications

🗃️ Administrative & Team Support

• Maintain organized records and documentation
• Assist in meeting preparations and follow-up
• Support daily operations and special projects
• Perform other duties related to New Business Development as needed

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Over 2 years of experience in buying, merchandising, or procurement, ideally in retail or entertainment
• Strong negotiation skills, especially with licensors and licensed products
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related inventory/purchasing software
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating across teams and external partners
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to handle tight deadlines and multiple projects simultaneously
• Deep knowledge of Japanese culture, including niche anime titles and video game platforms (mobile, PC, console)

💸 Pay & Benefits

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
