📝 Position Details

• Position Title: Teacher - FOREIGN LANGUAGE SECONDARY
• Terms of Employment: 10 Months
• FLSA Status: EXEMPT

🎯 Position Summary

The teacher will implement weekly instruction based on the NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements and course syllabi. You will create and foster an engaging educational atmosphere to promote effective student learning. Reporting directly to the Manager of Teacher Effectiveness, approved candidates will be placed into an active teacher pool.

⚡ Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as needed:

• Administer district curriculum aligned with NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements
• Conduct classes in the target language
• Create and maintain a positive, academically focused learning environment
• Develop and implement effective lesson components
• Analyze student progress and tailor instruction accordingly
• Foster a classroom climate that promotes positive learning conditions
• Ensure supportive learning opportunities for all students
• Participate in additional job-related duties as assigned

🎓 Position Expectations

• Provide instruction effectively in a secondary virtual classroom setting
• Collaborate cooperatively with students, colleagues, and management
• Guide learners towards curriculum goals
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for lessons, units, and projects
• Utilize diverse instructional techniques aligned with objectives
• Engage actively with faculty members
• Maintain accurate records per company policies
• Continuously develop professional skills
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally
• Demonstrate foreign language proficiency at the Advanced-Low level as per ACTFL standards

📚 Requirements

Education and Training

• Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Licenses and Certifications

• Valid teaching license issued by the state department of education
• Foreign language endorsement matching the assignment

• Internet: Consumer-grade WiFi or wired connection
  Speeds: 15 MBPS Download / 5 MBPS Upload (check via speedtest.net)
• Computer: Processor ≥ 1.5 GHz single core
  RAM: 4GB or higher
  OS: Windows 7/8/8.1/10 or Mac 2014 or newer
  No Chromebooks allowed
• Monitors: Laptop screen + external monitor OR desktop monitor + external monitor
• Camera: Webcam or HD webcam
• Audio: Built-in, USB, or Bluetooth microphone; Headsets or speakers recommended
