German Teacher Responsibilities 📝

• Teach five sections of German courses for upper school students.
• Develop engaging lesson plans and curricula customized to students’ needs and skill levels.
• Teach German language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing through diverse instructional methods.
• Create opportunities for students to practice conversational German and enhance pronunciation and comprehension.
• Communicate with parents regarding student progress and behavior.
• Participate in regular professional development to stay current with language education best practices and innovations.
• Serve as an advisor, overseeing students' academic and social development.
• Assist with residential life responsibilities as needed.

German Teacher Requirements 🎓

• Bachelor’s degree in German, Linguistics, Education, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven written and verbal proficiency in German.
• 2-3 years of prior K-12 teaching experience.
• No teaching license or credential necessary.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, dependable, and eager to contribute to the school community.
• Willingness to assist with extracurricular and community activities.

Additional Desired Qualities ⭐

• Knowledge of ACTFL standards is preferred.
