Job Description

Certified Languages International (CLI), established in 1996, is a leader in providing top-tier interpreting services. Thousands of organizations nationwide depend on CLI to facilitate communication with Limited English Proficient (LEP) speakers, especially in urgent or sensitive industries like medical, insurance, finance, and government.

Position Highlights

• Type: 100% over-the-phone interpretation 📞
• Volume: High call volume, primarily medical, servicing all industries including insurance, financial, utility providers, customer service, and state courts.
• Work Arrangement: Freelance / independent contractor with flexible schedule ⏰
• Availability: Join our 24/7 interpreting services via online portal or landline phone at any time of your choosing.
• Location: Must reside in the United States (SSN/EIN & Photo ID required)

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Residence within the United States
• Completed Language Assessment with CLI
• Interpreting experience (preferred but not mandatory)
• Note: Currently not recruiting in California, New Jersey, and New York. Please do not apply if residing in these states.

Compensation & Payment

Interpreters are compensated on a per-minute basis. You earn for every minute spent on the call, and payments are processed twice a month — on the 15th and last day of the month via direct deposit.
