📝 Job Title

General Assembly Vehicle Engineering Associate / Specialist

🔧 What You Will Do

• Serve as a technical expert in the assigned area during vehicle launches.
• Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
• Prepare specification packages after reviewing requirements related to quality, safety, UPH, layout, ergonomics, etc.
• Communicate with the Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Team in Korea and other R&D teams across Korea and the USA for successful launches.
• Host video conferences to discuss vehicle design improvements and follow-up on project status.
• Prepare assembly process sheets considering methods and line conditions, including detailed pictures and texts.
• Explain work content visually through drawings indicating worker positions, work sequences, and work status.
• Check vehicle assembly workability and quality, including hardware tightening, torque specifications, and vehicle dimensions.
• Design and review work processes based on vehicle drawings and assembly sequences.
• Determine man-hours using MODAPTS and optimize labor allocation.
• Analyze and improve performance in safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors.
• Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and problem-solving initiatives as directed by senior management.
• Provide technical training and serve as a resource for team members and leaders.
• Support ongoing production issues and technical development projects.
• Prepare presentations and reports on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
• Manage labor allocation efficiently.
• Perform multiple tasks with varying priorities within deadlines.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
• No restrictions for overseas travel or stays.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Business-level proficiency in English and Korean.
• Preferred Skills: CATIA, CAD or similar programs.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

• Production Area: Standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 30 lbs), working with power tools, PPE, ladders, and handling machinery.
• Ability to identify safety hazards, communicate clearly, and maintain punctual attendance.
