General Assembly Vehicle Engineering Associate/Specialist
🔧 What You Will Do
- Serve as a technical expert during vehicle launches, ensuring smooth and successful processes.
- Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
- Prepare specification packages by reviewing requirements such as Quality, Safety, UPH, Layout, and Ergonomics.
- Communicate effectively with the Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Team in Korea and other R&D teams in the USA and Korea.
- Host video conferences to discuss new vehicle design improvements and follow-up on project statuses.
- Prepare Assembly Process Sheets, including detailed pictures and instructions based on work method and line conditions.
- Visualize work content through illustrative pictures showing worker positions according to work order and status.
- Check for workability and quality during vehicle assembly, ensuring standards are met.
- Review vehicle drawings for hardware tightening, torque specifications, and dimensions; design work processes and assembly sequences.
- Determine Man Hours using MODAPTS and optimize resource allocation.
- Analyze and improve performance metrics related to safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors.
- Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and problem-solving initiatives as directed by senior management.
- Provide technical training and act as a resource for team members and leaders.
- Support daily production issues to maintain seamless operations.
- Stay updated on technical developments, proposing new technology projects where applicable.
- Prepare presentations and reports on project progress and challenges for senior management.
- Understand and manage labor allocation to maximize efficiency.
- Perform multiple tasks with varying priorities within deadlines.

🎯 What You Will Bring to the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent discipline.
- No disqualifications for overseas travel or stay.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Business-level proficiency in English and Korean (spoken and written).
- Preferred: Experience with CATIA, CAD, or similar programs.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Language Proficiency
Strong command of English (written and spoken) is essential for safety, communication, and collaboration across teams.
Physical Demands
- Office Environment: Sedentary with extended periods at a desk, occasional lifting (up to 15 lbs), and frequent typing.
- Production Area: Standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting (up to 25–30 lbs), operating machinery, and working in noisy/hot environments with PPE.
- Climbing ladders/stairs, visual and auditory awareness, and teamwork skills are required.
