Salary & Benefits 💰

• Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience

Qualifications & Experience 🎓

• Education: Master’s degree in social work, counseling, education, or a relevant human service field (required for site supervisor); Bachelor's degree with experience accepted
• Preferred Experience:
  • At least 2 years of individual therapy with youth and adults using cognitive behavioral techniques
  • Experience providing in-home family therapy in Bronx and Manhattan
  • Work with at-risk Black and Latino youth aged 11 to 18, at risk of justice involvement
• Fluency in Spanish is required

Key Responsibilities 📋

• Engage clients creatively and persistently
• Work from a strengths-based approach to empower families
• Advocate for youth and families, fostering belief in their growth capacity
• Navigate cultural differences comfortably
• Commit to empowering families to solve their own issues
• Prioritize in-home therapy sessions in families' homes
• Collaborate with referral sources like Legal Aid Society, NYC Law Department, schools, and BronxConnect programs to engage families effectively
• Participate in community events with team members
• Manage caseload of up to 15 families, maintaining accurate electronic and paper case files
• Record progress notes timely in the CSS system for reporting purposes
• Provide home-based Functional Family Therapy adhering to fidelity standards (this is not remote therapy)
• Attend weekly team meetings, supervision, and training sessions
• Refer families to appropriate services and supports, offering both clinical and concrete assistance
• Travel as needed to client homes
• Belong to a dedicated team of therapists, clinicians, and community partners

Work Environment & Location 🌆

Residents of Bronx and Manhattan are strongly preferred, with an emphasis on serving these communities through flexible hours, including some nights and weekends to meet client needs.
