About the Role

We are seeking professional French-speaking (European French dialect) voice actors for a solo performance project. Your performances will help train AI systems to recognize and express human emotion. This interpretive, character-driven work requires genuine craft, and the engagement is designed to reflect that.

In this role, you will receive a script and scene brief, study the emotional context, and deliver a performance true to the character and moment. The scenes are specific and emotionally rich, including roles such as:

• A bride standing at the doors, seconds before she walks down the aisle 💍
• A father meeting his newborn child for the very first time 👶
• A shepherd spotting a wolf in the distance, watching the herd 🐺
• A doctor delivering news of a patient's passing to their family ⚕️
• A runner who has trained for years, with the finish line finally in sight 🏃‍♂️

Recordings are under one minute. You can choose which scripts to work on and perform entirely on your own schedule, offering complete flexibility.

Who You Are

• Professional-level fluency in French, with the ability to perform in a France French (European French) accent
• Professional background in voice acting, dubbing, narration, audiobook recording, or similar fields
• Capable of delivering expressive and engaging vocal performances across various styles and emotions
• Comfortable interpreting scene briefs and working independently with minimal direction

Compensation & Technical Requirements

Rate: $150 USD per recorded hour (applies to actual audio recording time). Additional performance-based incentives may be available. Applications may also be considered for other Babel Audio projects with different rates.

Technical Requirements:

• External microphone; pop filter or windscreen strongly recommended
• Quiet, acoustically controlled recording environment
• Stable internet connection capable of supporting smooth audio recordings
