🎮 About the Role

As a Translator, you will play a key role in bringing video game worlds to life for players in the French market. You will handle a variety of translation and editing tasks, ensuring every line of text—from in-game dialogue to UI and legal materials—accurately reflects the intended tone, style, and cultural nuances. Working within a multilingual localization team, your efforts will help deliver high-quality, immersive experiences that resonate globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate in-game text, UI, legally-relevant texts, and supporting materials adhering to client guidelines, terminology, and style.
• Edit and review translations for accuracy, consistency, and natural flow.
• Develop and maintain glossaries, style guides, and character profiles, ensuring adherence within established frameworks.
• Meet project deadlines and productivity targets while ensuring high quality standards within the localization pipeline.
• Maintain consistency of tone, voice, and terminology across all content and game components.
• Collaborate with fellow translators to ensure cohesive and logical content flow.
• Identify and resolve localization issues during review and testing phases.
• Utilize translation and project management tools (e.g., memoQ, JIRA, client-specific systems) to track progress and workflow.
• Monitor and respond to localization queries, following team workflows.
• Assist in onboarding new translators, providing guidance on tools and project norms.
• Support candidate testing and contribute to process improvements.
• Liaise with clients on daily language matters, maintaining clear communication to ensure content alignment.
• Adapt flexibly to changing project requirements and priorities.
