Episcopal School of Jacksonville is looking for an innovative and passionate French teacher to inspire students across Middle and Upper School divisions. If you are enthusiastic about teaching French and fostering a vibrant learning environment, we want to hear from you!
Position Overview
We seek a collegial, versatile, and engaging French instructor who has experience teaching at multiple levels. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in high school and middle school education, alongside a commitment to student growth and collaboration within our faculty community.
All faculty members are expected to contribute to the broader school community through activities such as academic advising, supervisory duties, and extracurricular sponsorship or coaching.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in French or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university; advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of three years teaching French in an independent school setting (preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Mastery of French language skills and Francophone cultures, including speaking, writing, listening, and reading
- Passion for teaching French and engaging students in a mission-centered learning environment
- Commitment to learner-centered practices
- Ability to work collaboratively to meet department and school-wide goals
- Deep knowledge of course content with a growth mindset for ongoing professional development
- Willingness to contribute beyond the classroom, including as an Academic Advisor, extracurricular sponsor, coach, or community participant
- Proven ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Proficiency with learning technologies, especially Google Suite
- Dedicated to lifelong learning and growth

Founded nearly 60 years ago, Episcopal School of Jacksonville promotes a balanced education encompassing academics, fine arts, athletics, and spiritual development. We serve over 1,500 students from age 1 through grade 12 across three campuses, with Grades 6-12 on the Munnerlyn Campus along the St. Johns River.
