Primary Duties 📝

• Interpret messages accurately: Bridge communication gaps between patients and healthcare staff.
• Follow standards and ethics: Comply with the National Standards of Practice and the National Code of Ethics for Interpreters in Healthcare.
• Maintain confidentiality: Protect patient privacy at all times.

Qualifications Needed ✔️

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years interpreting experience, preferably with OPI/VRI services.
• Certification: National or State Interpreter Certification such as CHI, CMI, NIC, CI/CT, VQAS (if available in your language).
• Language Skills: Proficiency in Medical, Educational, and Social Services terminology in both source and target languages.
• Training: Complete 40+ hours of interpreter training.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent customer service, time management, and communication abilities.
• Language Fluency: Demonstrate fluency in English and your target language; provide test results if available.
• Technical Requirements: A working computer with specific specs, a headset, and a high-speed internet connection.
• Work Environment: Maintain a confidential, clean, and quiet call environment for optimal performance.
