Opportunity Overview

Position: Foreign Language Interpreter/Translation: Kurdish (Sorani) & Arabic — Travel Only (Full Time)

Responsibilities 📝

• Accurately translate reports and texts in electronic and hard-copy formats, capturing facts, abstract language, implications, and nuances.
• Identify and convey geopolitical, regional, ethnic, and cultural elements in translated texts.
• Interpret accurately—primarily consecutive interpretation, with occasional simultaneous interpretation. Must understand regional dialects.
• Review audio or internet materials, transcribe with high accuracy, and prepare detailed reports using excellent English written communication skills.
• Identify and summarize factual points and abstract concepts with precision.
• Maintain strong computer skills, including MS Office, and conduct basic web research for translation purposes.
• Deliver clear verbal presentations and briefings in English.

Qualifications ✅

• U.S. Citizen
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with adjudicated Polygraph
• Proven ability to pass advanced English proficiency tests
• ILR Level 3 or higher in target language translation test
• Active passport and readiness to deploy – this is a travel-only role
• Minimum of five (5) years' professional experience in translation, transcription, or interpretation
• In-depth knowledge of regional geopolitical, ethnic, and cultural factors of target language areas
• Proficiency with MS Office and internet research tools

Desired Qualifications 🎯

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Previous military experience
• Understanding of regional dialects
• Experience with consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation

Compensation 💰

Salary Range: $86,600 — $181,800
