Job Description 💼
The FDI Analyst will enhance awareness of Italy's investment opportunities and support U.S. companies in establishing or expanding their operations in Italy. Reporting to the Trade Commissioner in Chicago, the analyst will collaborate with the Italy-based Foreign Investment Department.
Key Responsibilities 🎯
- Market Intelligence: Conduct screening of potential U.S. investors and maintain the ITA CRM database.
- Lead Generation: Identify and scout potential investors through research, networking, and trade events.
- Promotion & Marketing: Educate U.S. companies on Italy’s regulatory environment and advantages.
- Investor Support: Provide ongoing support throughout the investment lifecycle.
- Stakeholder Relations: Develop relationships with local authorities, business partners, and corporate officers.

Requirements & Qualifications 📋
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS)
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card Holder (ITA does not sponsor visas)
- US Fiscal Residence
- Fluent in English and proficient in Italian (written and spoken)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.)
- Familiarity with main FDI specialized databases
- Knowledge of U.S. and Italian industrial frameworks and institutions
- Proactive, result-oriented with excellent communication, project management, and budgeting skills
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
Preferred
- Master’s Degree or PhD
- Experience with Italian entities, U.S.-based companies, government institutions, or investment banking/consulting
Salary & Compensation 💰
Annual gross salary ranges from $65,000 to $75,000, with the possibility of a one-time bonus up to $30,000 based on achievement of contractual targets. The candidate is responsible for all applicable US taxes. This is a non-benefited position.
Work Schedule 🕗
This is a full-time position (40 hours/week), working from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, including a 1-hour lunch break.
