A welcoming family in Maryland, with a beautiful home and garden, is seeking a kind and experienced Italian-speaking nanny to care for their lovely daughters. The role offers both live-in and live-out options, with excellent accommodation provided on the premises for live-in candidates. This summer position aims for a long-term working relationship, filled with learning and cultural exchange.

Family & Children

• G 8 years old: a healthy, positive, curious child who is trilingual in Spanish, Italian, and English. 90% of the time, caring for only one child at a time.
• G 3 years old
• The family emphasizes dedicated attention and nurturing for each child.
• They are eager to continue enhancing the children's Italian language learning.

Family Culture & Expectations

Curiosity, learning, and social/emotional intelligence are core elements of this household. The family values child development and encourages the nanny to collaboratively develop age-appropriate daily practices. A calm & mature demeanor is preferred, and the nanny must be fluent in Italian without an accent.

Responsibilities & Requirements

• Childcare duties: children’s laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, and errands.
• Driving: important but not essential; family can provide a car for both work and personal use during time off if live-in.
• Qualifications:
  • Fluent Italian speaker
  • Up-to-date clean criminal background check
  • Recent Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Good references for relevant nanny experience
  • Ability to engage in active play and get up from the floor quickly
• Other notes: Strictly non-smoking; high discretion required; right to work in the US or already residing in the US with proof.
• An enhanced DBS check will be necessary (can be arranged through Kinder).
