What You Need To Know 📋

Delta is hiring both English-speaking and Bilingual Flight Attendants (LOD/Language of Destination). Fluency in English plus the selected language is required for bilingual roles, with languages including Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Greek, Italian, Korean, and Swedish.

Our flights operate 24/7, requiring flexibility for varying hours such as early mornings, late nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. New hires will undergo a seven-week training program at our Atlanta, GA headquarters, receiving a training wage, meals, and shared lodging if necessary.

After training, Flight Attendants will report to their assigned base among 19 locations, including Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis, and New York. Base assignments may vary based on operational needs and language skills.

Key Responsibilities 🛫

  • Support global operations with flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all procedures
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Handle unexpected changes calmly and efficiently
  • Assist customers, especially those with unique needs
  • Maintain punctuality and reliability by reporting as scheduled
  • Adapt to last-minute schedule changes
  • Demonstrate use of safety and emergency equipment
  • Administer emergency procedures like CPR and first aid
  • Respond to emergencies with clear directions
  • Make public safety announcements
  • Prepare and serve beverages and meals, including alcohol
  • Assist with luggage handling
  • Support passenger safety during delays or turbulence
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during announcements
  • Perform duties at altitude, considering physiological effects

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications) ✅

  • Eligibility to work in the US
  • At least 21 years old at application time
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalency
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a passport with at least 30 months remaining; non-US passport holders must provide proper exit and entry documents
  • Successful completion of DOT pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Ability to sit in an aircraft jump seat with seatbelt and harness
  • Ability to open emergency exits and handle equipment weighing up to 60 pounds
  • Demonstrate respect for privacy when handling personal data
  • Embrace diversity and inclusion

  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and reaching repeatedly
  • Ability to retrieve and store items up to 74 inches high

  • Adaptability for international and domestic flying
  • Willingness to meet on short notice and adhere to policies and appearance standards
