Job Summary

As a Revenue Cycle Coordinator, you will manage the daily billing activities within your department, working independently to ensure a smooth workflow. You’ll serve as a vital link between the Professional Billing Office, physicians, and third-party payers. Additionally, you may perform Charge Entry functions to help optimize revenue:

• Coordinate and monitor daily revenue cycle activities to maximize reimbursement opportunities.
• Meet with patients needing financial counseling, verify benefit coverage, and communicate patient financial responsibilities in writing.
• Initiate patient payment plans in line with established policies.
• Optimize charge entry and subsequent collection efforts for all provided services.
• Collect co-pays and fees from patients according to policies and procedures.

Requirements

• 1-3 years of revenue cycle experience, including billing and insurance verification.
• Experience with self-pay, bank reconciliations, and missing charges.
• Ability to retain referrals and manage both front desk and financial coordinator roles.
• Strong customer service skills.
