Position Overview
As the Finance Administrator, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to execute a broad range of finance-related activities across domestic and Canadian operations, ensuring smooth financial processes and supporting strategic growth.
📝 Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, presentation materials, and board minutes for internal leadership and external stakeholders such as investors and lenders.
- Bank Transactions: Manage bank accounts, wire transfers, ACH transactions, and ensure compliance with banking regulations.
- Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the annual budget, aligning with company goals and financial objectives.
- Forecasting: Conduct forecasting by analyzing historical data, market trends, and business inputs to generate actionable insights.
- Financial Planning: Support the preparation of mid-term financial plans and growth strategies.
- Performance Monitoring: Track financial performance, analyze variances, and report on key financial metrics and KPIs.
- Business Development: Identify potential growth opportunities and support evaluation of acquisitions and divestitures through financial analysis and risk assessments.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and internal policies.
- Department Support: Provide assistance to the Accounting Department and other teams as needed.
- Operational Support: Assist in financial operations across domestic and Canadian offices.
- Additional Tasks: Perform other duties assigned by management.
🎯 Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent experience
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese (reading and writing)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and J-SOX is a plus
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and accounting software preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis
- Physical ability to sit for extended periods, stand, walk, lift up to 15 pounds, climb stairs, and interact with paperwork and computer systems
- Visual capabilities including close, distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision
