Position Overview
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role involves managing the day-to-day operations of the Finance and Accounting functions. The responsibilities include handling general accounting, profit and loss (P&L), balance sheet activities, financial analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to support financial activities and ensure compliance with standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial operations: General accounting, P&L, balance sheet, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Handle Gross-To-Net deductions: Chargebacks, admin fees, rebates calculations, etc.
- Prepare sales reports: For submission to external partners.
- Prepare journal entries and adjustments: For period-end closing, including inventory and lease accounting.
- Ensure compliance: Prepare financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
- Account analysis: Collaborate with sales teams and other departments for account reconciliation and insights.
- Identify process improvements: Plan and lead initiatives for efficiency enhancements.
- Support controls and audits: Ensure internal controls, compliance, and assist during external audits.
- System support: Aid system changes and internal control programs.
- Ad hoc projects: Assist with miscellaneous initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in finance and accounting.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Prior experience with Gross to Net processes is advantageous.
- Proficiency with SAP and experience with SOX compliance and audits.
Skills & Qualifications
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and diligence.
- Strong understanding of accounting and finance principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English.
Educational Background
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent field.
