Responsibilities

• Interpretation: Convey thoughts and intentions quickly and accurately into the target language, maintaining the integrity of the conversation.
• Cultural Competency: Assess and adapt to how messages are received, respecting cultural nuances.
• Communication & Professionalism: Conduct sessions professionally, whether on-site or remotely.
• Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

• Ability to rapidly understand spoken phrases and express messages concisely in the target language.
• Provision of flexible language solutions through both in-person and remote interpreting options.
• Effective communication skills during interpreting sessions.
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.

Requirements

• Language Proficiency: Native fluency in English and Dari or Farsi.
• Skills: Excellent listening, speaking, and retention capabilities; experience with medical terminology.
• Administrative Tasks: Prompt submission of timesheets and related documentation.
• Mobility: Ability to travel across multiple locations in designated regions.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid CA driver’s license, current auto insurance.
• Work Schedule: Flexible during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).
• Clearances: Successful completion of pre-screening assessments, background checks, drug screenings, and verification of work authorization.
• Medical & Vaccination: Willingness to obtain necessary medical clearances (TB, MMR, Varicella), and stay current with vaccinations, including COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters.
