This position offers an exciting opportunity to enhance community engagement by conducting parent workshops, coordinating activities, and fostering positive relationships within the school environment.
Position Overview 📝
- Establish an eligibility list to fill current and anticipated vacancies for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Under supervision of a site administrator, conduct a variety of parent education workshops in conjunction with the District Office.
- Coordinate and publicize parent activities and educational opportunities to strengthen parent, school, and student relationships.
- May recruit and schedule volunteer services in the school.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Desirable Skills 🎓
College coursework in communications, journalism, public relations, English or other languages, education, or related fields is highly desirable.
General Requirements ✅
The successful candidate must:
- Subscribe to an Oath of Allegiance.
- Submit to a tuberculosis examination.
- Be fingerprinted.
- Complete a pre-placement physical examination.
- Show proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
Additional conditions include:
- Adherence to the District's drug-free workplace policy. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory drug test results.
Selection & Certification Process 🔍
When filling a vacancy, the Classified Personnel Director will submit the top three candidates ("certification") for selection. The appointing authority can choose any one of these certified candidates. Those not appointed remain on the eligibility list.

- Eligibility List: Candidates who pass all examination phases are ranked based on total scores. The list is typically valid for one year.
- Employee Service Credit: Regular employees gain additional points based on their years of service—up to a maximum of 5 points.
