Job Opportunity: Parent Education Workshop Coordinator 🎓

This recruitment aims to establish an eligibility list to fill current vacancies and any anticipated positions for the 2025-2026 school year. 📅

Position Overview 📝

Under the supervision of a site administrator, the selected candidate will:

  • Conduct a variety of parent education workshops in conjunction with the District Office 🚸
  • Coordinate and publicize parent activities and educational opportunities to foster positive relationships between parents, schools, and students 🌟
  • May recruit and schedule volunteer services within the school 🤝
  • Perform other related duties as assigned 🔧

College coursework in communications, journalism, public relations, English, other languages, education, or related fields is highly desirable. 🎓

General Requirements ✅

  • Submit to a general tuberculosis examination 🩺
  • Be fingerprinted fingerprinted 📇
  • Complete a pre-placement physical examination 🏥

Qualifications & Certification 🎖️

To be considered qualified, applicants must possess the relevant training, education, and experience, and successfully pass all examination components to attain placement on the eligibility list. ✅

Certification process : When a vacancy arises, the Classified Personnel Director submits the top three candidates (including ties) for selection. Names not chosen remain on the eligibility list. 🔢

Eligibility List : Completed candidates are ranked based on total examination scores. The list is valid for six months. 📅

  • Retirement : Mandatory membership in California Public Employees Retirement System and Social Security for those working 4+ hours. Contributions shared by the district and employee. 💼
  • Shift Differential : 3.75% extra pay for hours worked between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m., beyond four hours of regular shift. 🌙
  • Sick Leave : 12 days annually, unlimited accumulation. Prorated for less than 12 months. 🤒
  • Vacation : 12 days annually, increasing after 5 years. Prorated for part-year employees. 🌴
