Role Overview

As a face-to-face interpreter, you'll utilize your language skills to assist clients during medical, social service, and various appointments. Interpreting with Access offers a flexible way to earn money — the more assignments you accept, the more you can earn! It's ideal for those seeking a flexible schedule and competitive pay. Using your bilingual skills to help those in need who speak your language or dialect is highly rewarding.

What You Need To Know

• Assignments are available 24/7/365! ⏰ (Most are requested during business hours.)
• Take as many or as few assignments as you like! 👍

Requirements

All applicants must meet the following:

• Be located in the Central Ohio area.
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Be eligible to work in the United States.
• Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check (based on fingerprints) and a 10-panel drug screening — at no cost to you.
• Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training program of at least 40 hours (e.g., Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' Access Academy, Court Interpretation, or a Certification/Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
• Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing organization (pay may be required).
