About SOS International LLC (SOSi)

SOSi is seeking an Exploitation Specialist – Turkish to assist a U.S. Government client by providing media insights, translations, and current event awareness. As a linguist, you'll serve as an expert in Turkish language and culture, curating and translating media into English for strategic analysis.

Responsibilities 📝

• Understand client interests & mission: Develop a comprehensive grasp of areas of priority, using this knowledge to pivot research as needed.
• Media evaluation: Use client resources to assess foreign media outlets and social media, conducting research, synthesizing findings, and delivering sourced reports in English.
• Adhere to standards: Follow client style and translation guidelines to produce accurate and consistent products.
• Utilize tools efficiently: Leverage client-specific workflows and software tools to maximize productivity.
• Meet deadlines: Deliver high-quality work promptly, including same-day turnarounds when required.

Qualifications 🎯

• High School Diploma
• 7 years of relevant experience
• Language proficiency: At least ILR level 3/3+, with some positions requiring 4/4+ proficiency. Skills confirmed through standardized language exams included in the application process.
• Regional expertise: Deep understanding of Turkey and surrounding regions where Turkish is spoken natively.
• Subject matter expertise: Knowledge in topics such as climate change, security, health, politics, culture, international relations, economics, military, cyber threats, emerging technologies, and media of relevant countries/regions.
• Research & analysis experience: Skilled in open source research, social media analysis, product creation, and workflow management.
• Technical skills: Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word.
• Communication skills: Excellent written and oral communication, capable of engaging in collaborative virtual environments with diverse teams.
• Time management: Strong skills in managing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications 🌟

• Bachelor’s Degree paired with five years of relevant experience
• Experience with the Intelligence Community (IC)
