🎯 Job Overview

This position is contingent upon award of contract.* SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking an Exploitation Specialist – Vietnamese to support a U.S. government client. The role involves media monitoring, translation, and current event awareness, leveraging Vietnamese language skills and cultural expertise to produce English-language media products.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of client interests and mission priorities, adjusting research focus as topics of emerging interest arise.
• Evaluate potential foreign language media sources, including traditional news outlets and social media, conducting topical research, synthesizing findings, and producing sourced, written reports in English.
• Adhere to client style and translation standards in all deliverables.
• Use client-specific tools and workflows efficiently.
• Meet tight deadlines, including same-day turnarounds.

🎓 Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Vietnamese, demonstrated via testing (minimum 3/3+ on ILR scale; some roles require 4/4+)
• Subject matter expertise or education in international topics such as climate change, global health, politics, culture, international relations, energy, cyber threats, emerging technologies, counter proliferation, military, science and technology, counter terrorism, or media of a specific country or region
• Experience with open source research, social media analysis, and product dissemination
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; effective collaboration in virtual, diverse teams
• Strong time and task management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree plus at least one year of relevant experience
• Experience supporting the Intelligence Community (IC)
