Japanese Bi-Lingual Experienced Tax Staff
Join our team as a bilingual Tax Professional, working on international clients and gaining valuable experience in tax consulting and compliance.
📝 Responsibilities
- Assist partners and managers with small and large international clients.
- Record transactions in ledgers, prepare trial balances, and create simple financial statements using computer software.
- Perform schedule computations for accruals, property and equipment, and calculate depreciation expenses.
- Work effectively within budgetary parameters; help staff prioritize and manage workloads.
- Prepare income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and individuals, including federal, state, multi-state, and consolidated returns for affiliated groups.
- Create financial statements by analyzing transactions, reconciling bank accounts, and adjusting journal entries.
- Conduct tax research to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
🎓 Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year experience in tax consulting or compliance within public accounting, focused on International Tax, including experience with forms 5471, 5472, 8865, 8858, and 1118.
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a closely related field.
- At least 2 years of work experience in public accounting or a related occupation.
- Experience preparing individual tax returns for clients.
- Experience filing corporate tax returns for LLCs, S-Corps, and C-Corps.
- Fluent in Japanese and English.
💰 Compensation & Benefits
Hourly rate: $36.05 - $45.67. This is a non-exempt position, and overtime is paid at time and a half of the hourly rate.
