Job Summary

arenaflex is looking for a Compassionate Hotline and Customer Care Operator fluent in Japanese to join our team. As a key supporter in mental health crisis intervention, you'll provide essential support, navigate complex situations with empathy, and deliver exceptional service to those in need. Your communication skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities will be crucial to ensuring the wellbeing of our clients. 💙

Key Responsibilities

• Provide psychological first aid and crisis counselling to callers in English, Cantonese/Mandarin, and Japanese (strongly preferred).
• Resolve crisis situations following established protocols.
• Oversee and manage wellness hotline services, including answering calls, de-escalating crises, and intervening as needed.
• Support our clinical team with administrative tasks and psychological case management.
• Assist with daily operational tasks such as desktop research, data entry, and easy translations (about 10-20% of your time).

About You

• Strongly Preferred: Fluency in Japanese and/or Cantonese/Mandarin.
• Some knowledge of Psychology is advantageous but not required; training will be provided.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of staying professional under pressure.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to essential tools for delivering high-quality support.
• Dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of privacy and ethics when handling sensitive information.
