About the Role 🎯

As an Expatriate Specialist I, you will administer retail international banking services and sales tailored to expatriate customers. Your responsibilities will include managing depository accounts, international wire transfers, foreign currencies, credit cards, and coordinating loan products alongside Fifth Third Securities. You'll also develop relationships with international corporate clients and prospects to fuel revenue growth.

Core Responsibilities 🤝

• Identify market opportunities and develop strategies to promote retail banking products to expatriates.
• Attract and retain customers by selling and marketing all retail offerings across the Bancorp.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales and profit targets.
• Engage with corporate clients and individuals, effectively promoting bank products.
• Refer business opportunities to Relationship Managers and follow up on referrals.
• Assist clients in account opening, explain U.S. banking practices, and develop multilingual literature and newsletters.
• Provide professional communication to resolve account inquiries and issues.
• Conduct seminars in native languages and English on retail and international services.
• Address international transaction requests, including expatriate loans, accounts, and currency wire transfers.
• Improve internal workflows and client processes.
• Promote foreign exchange services to expatriates.
• Serve as a back-up to International Relationship Managers.
• Support various projects and participate in economic development and trade promotion activities.

Qualifications & Skills ✅

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
• Fluent in English and bilingual in Japanese or German preferred, with professional-level speaking, reading, writing, and computer skills.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in financial services preferred; banking experience highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong sales, and interpersonal skills, with multitasking ability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Must register with the SAFE Act at employment through NMLS.

Salary Range: $45,100.00 – $85,600.00 USD annually

Note: Salaries vary based on experience, skills, education, and location. Eligible for incentive plans based on performance.
