DRG Talent Is Hiring An Executive Director

Exciting Leadership Opportunity at Temple Israel of West Palm Beach! 🌟

Temple Israel is collaborating with DRG to find an inspiring and strategic Executive Director who will shape the future of this historic and vibrant Jewish community.

About Temple Israel 🕍

Founded in 1923, Temple Israel of West Palm Beach is the first Jewish organization in Palm Beach County and remains the sole Reform synagogue in the area. Established by six families committed to progressive Judaism, the congregation officially dedicated its first building in 1924 under the name Temple Beth Israel. Celebrating its centennial in 2023, the community has grown into a welcoming and inclusive space emphasizing worship, study, and social engagement.

Under the leadership of Husband-and-wife Co-Senior Rabbis Ryan Daniels and Carlie Daniels — the first such pairing in Palm Beach County — the congregation has seen remarkable growth, with a 45% increase in membership and a 61% rise in religious school enrollment over the past two years.

This moment in time presents unique opportunities for the congregation, including:

  • Expanding land and fostering community partnerships to develop a hub for Jewish life in West Palm Beach ✡️
  • Responding to a renewed desire for faith and connection post-10/7 🕯️
  • Engaging a rapidly growing Jewish population in Palm Beach County, with many families affiliating since July 2023 👪
