About the Role
Sodexo is seeking a highly skilled Research & Development Cantonese Area Executive Chef to spearhead culinary innovation focused on traditional and contemporary Cantonese dishes for a corporate services client. This remote position requires residency in or near New Jersey/New York, with travel up to 50%.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide culinary leadership and expertise as an Asian Market Chinese Specialist Chef in support of the Asian Markets Squad
- Support customer presentations and lead new menu ideation from a culinary perspective
- Act as a savory subject matter expert, emphasizing scratch cooking and flavor development
- Develop culinary content for North American projects collaboratively with chef peers and the Head Chef
- Accelerate growth initiatives that enhance the value of UFS brands through savory and scratch cooking
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, CD Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to align resources
- Translate and adapt recipes with cultural relevance and accuracy between Cantonese and English
- Interpret measurement systems for recipes and culinary materials efficiently

Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Management Experience: Minimum of 3 years
- Functional Experience: At least 3 years working in Chinese kitchens in the US/Canada, with expertise in Cantonese and Szechuan cuisines
- Language Skills: Bilingual in Cantonese and English, with clear communication of culinary and commercial concepts
- Additional Skills: Solution-oriented mindset, creative customer needs solutions, strong teamwork and follow-up skills, and familiarity with restaurant distribution networks
- Experience in selling branded food categories is a plus
