Role Overview

At Sodexo, we blend great ingredients with creative cooking for revolutionary culinary experiences. We are seeking a highly skilled Research & Development Cantonese Area Executive Chef to spearhead culinary innovation focused on authentic and modern Cantonese dishes for a corporate client in the New Jersey/New York tri-state area. This role involves developing new menu concepts, refining recipes, and supporting multi-location operations to ensure consistent, high-quality Cantonese cuisine.

**Note:** This is a remote position, but candidates must reside in or near New Jersey/New York. Travel up to 50% is required.

Additional Support Role: Asian Market Chinese Specialist Chef

In this capacity, you'll support the Asian Markets Squad by delivering culinary insights and assisting with menu ideation and customer presentations.

What You'll Do 🌟

• Provide culinary leadership as an Asian Market Chinese Specialist Chef supporting the Asian Markets Squad
• Support customer presentations and lead innovative menu ideas from a culinary perspective
• Serve as a savory subject matter expert with a focus on scratch cooking and flavor development
• Develop culinary content for North American projects in collaboration with fellow chefs and the Head Chef
• Drive growth initiatives in savory and scratch cooking to enhance brand value
• Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to align resources
• Translate recipes and stories accurately and culturally relevant between Cantonese and English
• Accurately interpret and convert measurements for recipes and culinary materials

What You Bring 🧑‍🍳

• Bilingual in Cantonese and English, with strong communication skills in both languages
• Over 3 years of culinary experience in the Foodservice industry (corporate or kitchen)
• At least 3 years of experience working in Chinese kitchens in the US/Canada, specializing in Cantonese and Szechuan cuisine
• Solution-oriented mindset with creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate with sales teams to generate and grow business
• Understanding of restaurant distribution networks
• Experience selling branded food categories is a plus
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills across organizational layers
• Ability to meet KPIs and team goals
