🔍 Job Description

We are seeking a talented Executive Chef to oversee all kitchen operations, including staff training, budgeting, inventory, health and safety protocols, and maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-volume restaurants (dinner-only, $5M+ revenue) and a solid background in Italian cuisine, especially hand-made pastas.

Relocation assistance is available. Must be authorized to work in the US.

📝 Responsibilities

  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of food preparation, presentation, cleanliness, sanitation, and employee appearance.
  • Training & Development: Coordinate training programs for kitchen, bakery, butcher shop, and other staff, identifying needs and implementing solutions.
  • Menu & Recipe Development: Create recipes and portion standards aligning with customer preferences, nutritional guidelines, product specifications, and budget constraints.
  • Operational Support: Collaborate with managers on plate presentation, special menus, and new service area designs.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Prepare operational reports, monitor trends, and recommend improvements.
  • Additional Duties: Perform related tasks as needed to support restaurant excellence.

📝 Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an Executive Chef
  • Four years of progressive experience in a high-volume restaurant or equivalent education/experience
  • Prior experience with Italian cuisine is essential
  • Experience with fresh pasta making is a plus
  • Proven skills in training, purchasing, and budget management
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Able to foster a positive work culture and remain calm under pressure
