📅 Position Details

• Position: Mobile Interpreter (English & Mandarin/Cantonese)
• Contract Period: 12 months, renewable
• Working Hours: 8 hours/day plus 1-hour break / 40 hours/week / night shift, based on schedule
• Shift Timing: Starts any time from 8pm to 12am, rotating every 3 months
• Salary: RM30/hour (Minimum RM4,800/month for 160 hours) + Socso + EPF + OT pay
• Benefits: 14 days paid sick leave, 12 days annual leave, Malaysia & US public holidays
• Training: 3-week daytime training (Monday to Friday) with training allowance*

📝 Job Description

As an interpreter, your primary role is to bridge communication gaps between speakers of different languages. For example, during a live 911 call, you will accurately interpret conversations between the caller (native language) and emergency responders (English). Your goal is to convey messages clearly in the caller’s preferred language, ensuring mutual understanding.

This work-from-home position requires a quiet, secure environment. It's open to applicants across Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Cambodia. Calls may cover a wide range of topics including healthcare, government, insurance, finance, utilities, travel, hospitality, emergency services, law enforcement, and general business.

🎯 Requirements

• Fluent English proficiency: Strong reading, speaking, and writing skills are essential.
• Native language fluency: Fluent reading, writing, and speaking abilities in Mandarin or Cantonese.
• Remote work setup: Must have a reliable Android 12+ or iOS 15+ smartphone and a laptop.
• Shift flexibility: Willing to work night shifts on rotating schedules, totaling 9 hours.
• Off days: Two days off per week on rotating days.
